The King Takes a Queen

"We're just a couple of Irish hicks," giggles Cait O'Riordan about her upcoming marriage to Declan MacManus—a.k.a. Elvis Costello—who has resurfaced with his best LP in years, King of America. Cait, twenty, strums bass for the Celtic folk-punk band, the Pogues. Her fret hand is weighted down with a big emeraldand-diamond ring—"like the Irish flag, you know"—and she's got one emerald ear stud to match. The groom's divorce from his first wife is still pending, but the gushing bride declares, " We'll have five babies by June!"
