And she's off! Queen Elizabeth II, the House of Windsor's winning thoroughbred, is back in the saddle at this year's Royal Ascot, from June 16 through 19. Her Royal Harness will be putting up her Dukes at Windsor Castle, and riding in her carriage at the nearby track, where she will no doubt show unbridled enthusiasm for several of the racehorses. She should—she owns them. The annual hoof-fest is also a high time for the hot-to-trot younger royals (Andy and Fergie galloped to the altar after their Ascot affair). While Di seems the current front-runner, it's the Queen who's the real workhorse. So here's to Her Majesty. Long may she rein.
