Bravo! Herbert von Karajan will be back at the peak of his musical genius at this month's Salzburg Festival, leading the Vienna Philharmonic in Don Giovanni. And doubtless all the status cymbals of the international scene from Mercedes Kellogg to Sid Bass will be there to add to the scherzo-phrenic appreciation. As an encore, the seventy-nine-year-old maestro may even play a little Haydn chic—if they conduct themselves properly, of course.
