• When Marvin and Barbara Davis chaired the first Carousel of Hope ball twelve years ago, little did they know that this year's benefit for the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes, in Colorado, would attract more stars than the Academy Awards. The do at the Beverly Hilton hotel raised more than $5 million, and guests left weighed down by gift bags stuffed with almost $1,000 worth of Revlon products and Rodeo Drive goodies.
