The thirty-six-year-old Mexican-American artist takes the concept of bilingual education to absurd levels, and the MacArthur Foundation recently awarded him a "genius grant" to spread the word. This month he performs The Rediscovery of America by the Warrior for Gringostroika at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. His goal: 'To shed light on our experiences as multicultural citizens in a country that has ferociously resisted its multiracial soul."
