Best-selling author Janies Spada's new biography, Streisand: Her Life, excerpted in this issue, is the story of a woman he has worshiped since her 1965 television special, My Name Is Barbra. "I think Barbra has a fear of not being perfect," says Spada, "so she makes it impossible for herself to fail." Peter Law ford: The Man Who Kept the Secrets, Spada's account of the exploits of the infamous Kennedy brother-in-law, was excerpted in V.F. in 1991.

Carrie Fisher is the author of Postcards from the Edge, Surrender the Pink, and Delusions of Grandma. She has been cast as Edina in Roseanne's version of the British sitcom Absolutely Fabulous.

Peggy Sirota has won numerous accolades for her work, including an editorial award from the American Photography Competition and a Northwest Addy Award for her Nike ad.
