PISCES FEB. 19-MARCH 20

How infuriating it must be to feel left out of the loop and not * part of the gang. Luckily, Uranus in Pisces gives you the guts to tell all those who have looked down their noses at you to go straight to hell. You need to depend on yourself right now and stop fretting if you don’t feel sought after and yearned for. Financially speaking, you’re not likely to be showered with bangles and beads anytime soon, but even if you were you’d know deep down that you can’t find fulfillment through somebody else’s generosity (or guilt). Make it on your own.

VIRGO AUG. 23-SEPT. 22

To be happy now, you’ve got to adopt Alfred E. Newman's “What, me worry?” attitude toward money. You can’t blow the whole wad on some stupid doodad after drinking too much espresso, but don't go crazy stretching your dollar till it screams, either. Second-house retrogrades are fleeting, so bear in mind that prosperity is a cyclical thing. In matters of love and children, you are now completing a long ritual of letting go, which many Virgos will read as plain trauma. In fact, it’s a reminder that you’ve still got a heart.

ARIES MARCH 2I-APRIL I9

It doesn't take a Ph.D. in international politics to realize that the system we live under can be heartless. And while you are a warrior, you can't be expected to fight the whole world by yourself. You need your soul mate to soften your edges so you don’t have to escape town after town on the midnight coach. Even with Mars in culmination, which gives you extra juice, a station of the greater benefic planet in your 7th house could make you think your supporters are copping out. It’s only temporary.

LIBRA SEPT. 23-OCT. 23

The family has sucked so much energy from you that there’s not a whole lot left. We all know how generous you can be, but, with Jupiter and the node both retrograde now, you have to stop spreading yourself around like soft margarine. Otherwise, even when you’re laughing or making love, you won’t be fully present. It would be great to be all things to all people, but until they perfect cloning you’re still just one person. And look what happened to Dolly the sheep.

TAURUS APRIL 20-MAY 20

It’s always the same story. You get a new job. Everything is rosy and wonderful. Then, after a few months, you realize that you’re dealing with the same old political games, only gussied up and cosmetically altered. Try to understand that, with such powerful aspects occurring in your 6th and 9th houses, it is neither prudent nor possible to walk away from people and situations just because they don’t measure up to your ethical standards. Besides, have you never in your life committed even the tiniest little sin? Talk about glass houses.

SCORPIO OCT. 24-NOV. 2 I

Your critics may claim that you’ve got a big problem with intimacy, but that's not necessarily true. After all, considering the minefields you've encountered in past relationships, it’s no mystery why you're not the most trusting soul in the world. Still, as your 2nd-house ruler transits your I2th house, you’ve got enough romanticism left in you to enjoy life even as you watch your back. If there have been serious rifts with neighbors or relatives (and you know there have been), maybe 2005 is the time to heal them. Maybe.

GEMINI MAY 2I-JUNE 2 I

All the fiscal juggling you’ve had to perform over the past few fere* years might have been intolerable if not for your flippy Gemini personality. Because you are able to switch channels so deftly, ' you’ve succeeded in ignoring the money business and training your attention on love and sex. Even if the imminent departure of Chiron from your solar 8th house brings you back to the financial brink—and leads you once again to contemplate the fragility of life—isn’t it nice to know that you can still go crazy ogling a gorgeous body other than your own?

SAGITTARIUS NOV. 22-DEC 2 i

You’ll probably be withdrawing, temporarily at least, from a few of your high-minded humanitarian pursuits, such as saving the earth. That’s a normal reaction when your ruling planet stops moving in your solar ll th house. Besides, given the byzantine financial dealings you’ve been enmeshed in lately, it’s a wonder that you’ve had time for any extracurricular activities at all. On a related note, 2nd-house transits of asteroids or comets can drive any Sadge nuts: the money is loads of fun, but the responsibility is a big drag.

CANCER JUNE 22-JULY 22

Whether you are newly and happily married, single, divorced, or recently acquitted, you’re busy trying to balance relationships, family, and public life. While you are naturally inclined to be both mama and papa bear to all the cubs feeding off you, the 4thand 7th-house planetary squares have almost drained you of your nurturing capabilities. Even if it feels like you’re carrying the load by yourself, you’re really not alone. The marriage thing is twisted for everyone. In the end—let’s face it—it’s still probably all about your mother.

CAPRICORN DEC. 22-JAN I 9

Pain and agony notwithstanding, you’ve got to pull yourself together now that Chiron has reached the last degrees of your sign. You've got what it takes to survive this period. Even when Jupiter makes a retrograde station in your solar 10th house and you think your entire support system has collapsed, don’t lose heart. When that planet finally moves forward in June, you'll see what a waste of time it was to be so anxious. Despite what you may think, worrying doesn’t avert disaster or ensure success. True grit does.

LEO JULY 23-AUG. 22

It’s hard to stay clean, sober, pure, and healthy when you’re constantly battling the million little demons that are forever messing up the machinery at home, at work, in your body, and in your daily life. Fortunately, with the sun so strong and dignified, no measly 6th-house transit is going to defeat you. Because you have to devote so much attention to life’s devilish details, you can't be as present in a one-to-one relationship as you would like to be. Come to think of it, though, any excuse to get a minute to yourself is a blessing.

AQUARIUS JAN. 20-FEB. 18

Chiron’s transit through your house of spiritual development (and inner turmoil) has both enlightened you and caused you enormous angst and confusion, especially when it comes to the issues of success, failure, and whether or not your day has come and gone. Maybe you’ve learned that selfless service doesn’t always bring fame and fortune, but it certainly does fill a need in your soul that worldly success can never satisfy. With Chiron at the end of your 12th house, however, you probably don’t want to hear one word about that.
