THE SWEETHEART OF SUNDANCE.. .on account of her Jury Prize-winning performance in this year's Teeth, an absurdist horror flick, directed by Mitchell (son of artist Roy) Lichtenstein, in which Weixier's virginal character is afflicted (blessed?) with a condition known as "vagina dentata" (i.e., genitalia with teeth). "I actually turned down the part when I first got it," she says. "The concept just seemed so terrifying to me. (But] then I started to see her as a superhero." 

JESS [LOVES] NY: "I've had people tell me that I should move out to L.A., but I feel really at home here. I live in Carroll Gardens, in Brooklyn. I also am not a phenomenal driver, so I think I'm calmer here, just letting public transportation do what it needs to do with me."
