Gaby Aghion founded Chloe in 1952, and in 1956, Aghion and her partner, Jacques Lenoir, showcased their first collection over breakfast at Paris’s Cafe de Flore. The young, modem label broke fashion boundaries, and with Karl Lagerfeld at the helm beginning in 1965, it became a label that attracted fashion icons such as Jackie Kennedy, Brigitte Bardot, and Grace Kelly. The house’s prestige grew throughout the 70s and 80s, making way for designer Stella McCartney, who was hired in 1997 to bring the label into the new millennium. Today, Chloe is worn around the globe, and this month, under the direction of chief designer Paulo Melim Andersson, the fashion house launches a new signature scent, Chloe Eau de Parfum, a soft fragrance of peony, lychee, and freesia—which is available exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue and Chloe boutiques. The campaign, shot by photographers Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, stars Chloe Sevigny, Clemence Poesy, and Anja Rubik, the three new modem faces of the luxury label.
