V^ole Porter would bring Lucky roses after a Hell Drivers show. That's Willie Maugham behind them, sulking. Cole would later write a witty little song about Lucky, who apparently thought Cole was a florist and brushed him off. Underneath the wit was something dark and sour. Nobody nowadays ever sings it.
