BUSTING OUT Q&A with GEORGE WAYNE

"For her latest film, Austenland, she bristled at the period costumes, which 'made me look like a whale,' she says.

Her breakthrough was when she had transformative roles in three consecutive films—American Pie, Best in Show, and Legally Blonde."

Jennifer Coolidge On younger men, phonies, and presidential connections

Since her breakout role as "Stifler s Mom'm American Pie, Jennifer Coolidge has appeared in a variety of parts, including a Polish cleaning lady in CBS's 2 Broke Girls, back this fall. George Wayne catches up with everybody's favorite cougar act.

GEORGE WAYNE:Any relation to the 30th American president, who ruled from 1923 to 1929, Calvin Coolidge?

JENNIFER COOLIDGE: I'm his distant cousin. In the third grade, I did a report on Calvin Coolidge, and I remember—after doing all the research—thinking that he wasn't very impressive and that I should've picked Lincoln.

G.W.That's funny. American Pie was your "Hello, I'm here" moment to the b-wigs in Hollywood.

J.C. What's weird is that it wasn't supposed to be a hit movie. It was a small role in a movie that I was really lucky to be a part of. It was just the right time, and it changed my life in a huge, huge way.

G.W. Slifter's Mom doesn't seem too far removed from Jennifer Coolidge. You both like your scotch and your men aged 18 years,

J.C I always date younger men. For some reason that's just the way it's gone, because younger guys have always asked me out and I accept.

G.W.So, by the way, to whom are you turning these days for a firm, solid erection ?

J-C. You mean who am I actually mounting?

G.W.Yes. darling. I didn't believe this would be too stiff a question for Stifler's Mom to answer. You're mumbling.

J.C. I'm dating a guy who is really shy, and if I were to mention him here he might not be able to handle it. And, yes, he is younger than me.

G.W.If you were to write a scandalous book like Hollywood Babylon, how would you start Chapter 1?

J.C. I think I would start Chapter 1 with "I can handle the bad stories, but I can't handle the phonies." There is something about a phony that creeps me out so much.

G.W.I want to see Jennifer Coolidge and Kim Cat-trail starring as cougar stepsisters in a sitcom rom-com set in Sydney, Australia.

J.C. Ooooh, I would love that! A show like Californication set in Sydney. I love Australia, and I especially love those Rugby players.

G.W.Oh my Lord, those gorgeous pale mastodons—who doesn't? Fabulous!
