JULY 2012
31 DAYS IN THE LIFE OF THE CULTURE
When Posh, written by Laura Wade, first hit the stage—at the Royal Court, in London, in 2010—tickets were hotter than summer. For disgruntled folk who didn't get seats, the play is back in the West End this month at the Duke of York's Theatre. The entertaining, satirical story zooms in on 10 silver-spoon Oxford University students, all members of a notorious, badly behaved, and vandalous dining club called "the Riot"—a thinly disguised take on the real-life Bullingdon Club, whose alumni include Prime Minister David Cameron and mayor of London Boris Johnson. It's a glimpse into the old-boy network at its finest—and funniest. (poshtheplay.com) —ALICE B-B
