Soudeykin Sketches the Humors of a Russian Country Fair

SERGE Soudeykin, the Russian painter whose fame in Moscow became so great that he was called to Paris to meet with an equal success there —has at last arrived in America. He has been working frantically on a new edition of the Chauve Souris. We are privileged to show some recent sketches by him portraying the types to be met with in every Russian country fair. Mr. Soudeykin has just completed a remarkably telling cover design for Vanity Fair which is soon to appear.
