Grace Moore and Charpentier

■ From the musical comedy stage, upon which she was once lightly engaged. Grace Moore travelled swiftly to the stirring and glamourous evening when she made her debut at the Metropolitan as Mimi, in La Bohème. After singing Manon, Juliet and Micaela in New York, the indefatigable Miss Moore next set sail for Paris where, at the Opéra Comique last. June, she sang Louise, in the opera of that name by Gustave Charpentier. This photograph was taken in Montmartre, at an inn which Charpentier has used as a model for many of the sets in Louise. At the end of the present Metropolitan season, Miss Moore will go to Hollywood to make film versions of Jenny Lind and The Merry Widow
