Fair Arts
Cutting the edge on performance, art, movies, and books
You can see Jock Soto and Maria Calegari in a less restful pose during the New York City Ballet’s spring season. New works by Peter Martins and by Jerome Robbins with Twyla Tharp are promised. With Calegari’s languorous strength shaping her roles, and the striking Soto (who is half-Navaho, half-Latin) dancing many solo parts for the first time, it’s no wonder the company continues to shine.
