She was just another Girl from Ipanema until photographer Bruce Weber launched her on the cover of his latest book, O Rio de Janeiro, published by Knopf. Antonia Rizo (snapped here with friend Leonardo) is one good reason for slipping Weber's photojournal under the nearest Christmas tree; another is that profits from the lavish book go to the AIDS Resource Center, Inc., in New York. The journal chronicles Weber's adventurous four-week stay in the Brazilian hot spot. He has since moved on, of course, but Miss Rizo, who is thirteen years old, is content to stay rooted in Rio and see her way through school.
