Ernest Women
Marisa Berenson and Josephine Chaplin make a postproduction pit stop at Ernest Hemingway's favorite Montparnasse brasserie, La Closerie des Lilas. Fellow Parisians and costars in this month's six-hour special, Hemingway, the society actress and the daughter of Charlie Chaplin play the first two of Papa's four wives. That master of mini-series machismo, Stacy Reach, snared the role of the definitive literary hooligan, but stresses Hemingway's "great moral fiber" instead of his notorious carousing. "He had a real passion for action," Reach explains, "but he was actually an incurable romantic."
