Where style meets substance

Son of Rasta saint Bob Marley, nineteen-year-old Ziggy has a mission: to hoist reggae from its mystical bog and rejuvenate its springy beat. Mission accomplished on Conscious Party (Virgin Records), a pan-world congress of pop produced by Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth of Talking Heads (pick hit: "Lee and Molly," signed with scrawling guitar by guest star Keith Richards). Ziggy's kid brother Stevie and beautacious sisters Sharon and Cedella add spice and body to the multicultural swirl. This is one party where everyone circulates.
