Where style meets substance
Truman Capote never got around to completing Answered Prayers, the book he hoped would secure him a position among the Immortals. But now, five years after passing away in the place he called "Deathland" (Los Angeles), he's as close to actual resurrection as anyone can hope to get: this month, Capote comes to Broadway in Tru, a one-man show written and directed by Jay Presson Allen (The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie) that features a portrayal by song-anddance man Robert Morse so unerringly on the mark, it's enough to make you think Capote's prayers were answered after all.
