NICOLA PELTZ AGE: 19. PROVENANCE: Westchester, New York, BREAKING THE ICE: Peltz, a self-described tomboy in her youth, was raised with seven siblings in a tight-knit, sports-enthused family. "I grew up believing I was going to be an ice-hockey player and then I got into acting and I liked that way better." PLAYING ALONG: The actress, who got her professional start in an Off Broadway play at age 13, has appeared in a variety of projects, from the hit A&E series Bates Motel to M. Night Shyamalan's fantasy film The Last Airbender. "The reason I love it so much is because you get to play different people, and you get to experience things you never would in your everyday life." ACTING HER AGE: Peltz recently appeared in Transformers: Age of Extinction, the latest installment in Michael Bay's smash-hit franchise. A bonus for the actress while working on the film was her co-star, Mark Wahlberg. "He is, by the way, the nicest, most talented, hardworking, coolest person I have ever met." LEARNING CURVE: Despite her in-demand status as a bona fide Hollywood darling, Peltz still has higher education on the docket. "My parents are definitely firm believers in me going to college, and I want to go. I think it's important."
