Best Fêtes
Voici the City of Light's latest maestro of the night, Frederic Beigbeder, who Jekylls from a quiet political-science major to a boisterous Bacchus, hatching the most outrageous evenings for fellow Parisian nighthawks. The twenty-three-year-old Beigbeder is the self-appointed President for Life of the new and notorious Caca's Club, a series of floating fetes designed to blast away the "ennui fetide" of those refrigerating rallyes (French for debutante balls) with such memorable bashes as "Chernobyl: Seven Months Later," "Roman Orgy at Les Bains," and "Bring Mom and Dad." At Beigbeder's recent "Le Cocooning Mondain: Come and Sleep chez Castel," the pajama'd creme de la creme couch-potatoed till dawn, decked out with sleeping instead of Chanel bags.
