The whole world saw Nancy Reagan and Estee Lauder among the handful of Americans at Prince Andrew's wedding. No one, however, has even heard about an even more exclusive London social event: the right royal dinner dance given at Claridge's by King Constantine and Queen Anne-Marie of the Hellenes (Greece). Guests included Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, Prince Charles and Princess Diana, King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia of Spain, plus the royal families of Luxembourg and Liechtenstein, the Aga Khan clan, and the Shahbanou of Iran. Only nine Americans made the grade: Senator Claiborne Pell (who sat at Queen Elizabeth's right) and his wife, Nuala, Mr. and Mrs. John Kluge, Betsy Bloomingdale, Ann Getty, Nancy Mehta, new U.S. citizen Alecko Papamarkou, and King Jerry of Zipland.
